Donation Heads

• Corpus fund : A corpus fund of approximately Rs. 20 crores is needed for the smooth working of the day-to-day activities of Prashala.
• Building Fund :Prashala needs to be shifted in spacious premises. The estimated cost of building new infrastructure is approximately Rs. 20 crores.
• Education - Covid-19 deficit for Jnana Prabodhini Prashala : Due to Covid-19 pandemic, Jnana Prabodhini Prashala would face a deficit in income. This would be mainly due to decrease in collection of fees. You are requested to donate for this cause.
• Vivek Ponkshe Memorial Scholarship : A scholarship in memory of the 5th Principal of JPP, late Prof. Vivekrao Ponkshe, will be given to the students doing excellent projects. You can also donate for the same.
• Sharad Godbole Scholarship : A scholarship in memory of Late Shri. Sharad Godbole is intended to make contributions to education of the future generation. Shri. Sharad Godbole was a senior manager in Punjab National Bank. Sharadji was a charismatic person and was well-known for his honesty, hard work, generosity, and a positive nature. He was an empathetic social worker and supported many in pursuing their education. So this scholarship is given in his fond memory and in continuation of his dream of supporting talented students with economically weaker background to support their education at the school.
• Economically Weaker Students - School : Jnana Prabodhini Prashala charges relatively less fees even though it has many activities included in its curriculum. This helps in admitting students from all strata of the society. Still fees for many students are waived off as some students belonging to the rural areas or even to the urban area cannot afford to pay the fees. The only criterion to get admitted to Prashala is the scores on the intelligence test. The school provides all sorts of aid to these intelligent students so that not a single intelligent child would be deprived of this special education. The annual school fee is approximately 1,10,000/-. You can donate for these needy students.
• Economically Weaker Students - Hostel :The educational facilities of Prashala must reach to all the intelligents. We have students coming from rural areas as well. Hostel facility for boys provided by the school. Every year we have approximately 32-35 students staying in the hostel. As they belong to the rural area, paying the hostel fee is difficult for them. For girl students the school provides monitary help for their survival in the city. Donors are welcome to extend a helping hand to these students.
• Asset Purchase - General : The school infrastructure is as important as the school or hostel fees. Aid is required for the purchase of the modern educational equipments, laboratory equipments, computers etc. and also for their maintenance.
• Asset Purchase – Lab Material : Jnana Prabodhini Prashala insists on having up-to-date laboratories, so that children can do projects/experiments upto graduation level. Aid is required for the purchase of the modern educational equipments, laboratory equipments and also for their maintenance.
• Asset Purchase - Computers : Use of computers in education is a must now-a-days. Prashala has two separate computer laboratories. Teachers are also provided with laptops/PC for educational/administrative purpose. Aid is required for the purchase of the computers and also for their maintenance.
• Asset Purchase – Maker's Space : 'Maker's Space' is a new addition to Prashala where children get to handle various tools, equipments and honing their motor skills and 3D imagination and creativity. Aid is required for the purchase of the modern equipments, machines in Maker's Space and also for their maintenance.
• Project For Deprived Students :Jnana Prabodhini Prashala extends its activities to students other than the school as well. Activities are held for students in the slum areas around the city or rural areas nearby. Volunteers travel to these places and help nurture the potential in these deprived areas. You can contribute for this purpose, too.

• You can give donation for a particular reason given in the drop-down list. After selecting a reason, you may select specific student or equipment.
• Though the amount of expected donation is mentioned in the dropdown list, there is no insistence on donating the entire amount.
• Please upload a letter specifying the purpose of the donation. (As per the instructions of the Income Tax department)
• Please select your Nationality carefully.
• Service charge is applicable on online donations. The donors are requested to pay it. Net banking is a cheaper option than credit or debit cards.
• The receipt of the donation will be sent by email immediately.
